However, if you have a more laid back style, opt for even softer beach waves. If you're naturally curly, be sure the stylist is comfortable defining and voluminizing your curls.

Being prepared means being your most relaxed self. On the day of your shoot, you want to feel cool, confident, and ready to lean in to what is sure to be a transformative experience.


  • Skin Care: This is not the time to try a new skin care routine. Stick with what is tried and true for you to ensure your skin looks its best.
  • Hydration: Don't underestimate the importance of getting adequate hydration. In the week leading up to your big day, challenge yourself to drink at least half of your body weight in water. This also helps with keeping skin clear and of course be sure to get a good night’s sleep before the shoot.
  • Confidence: Look in the mirror and remind yourself that this is for you, this is what self love looks, and encourage yourself to lean in and make the most of this opportunity to deepen your connection with yourself and/or your parter.
